Looking Forward
This year in review
The Kraken would like to apologize to all 3 of our fans, for the pitiful on-ice showing that they have had to endure thus far this year. The team finished deadlast in the league, with a depressing 8068 average attendance record to boot, the only real solace I as the manager of the team can offer is that we finished with the 21st best penalty kill this year, while that number is uninspiring as all can be it is a sign of a brighter future, the blue line is younger then in years past, there is room to grow. The team was 3rd in the league for hits per game, which is another inspiring sign of things to come, our stud goalie prospect Chase Zdunich put up a .926 sv% with a 2.24 GAA, an improvement over last years excellent campaign.
The management team stresses patience in this stressful time, as the team was in shambles when we took over, having no real assets and no real direction, yes this years results are not where we want them to be, but it is a step in the right direction, with our hopeful first overall pick in this years draft, and the removal of additional bloat with the expansion draft we plan on being aggressive on both the trade market and the free agency market this coming offseason, currently no one on the roster is safe, we aim to turn the roster over to make for a more exciting hockey team come next season. That being said, we are not aiming for playoffs in the upcoming season, we just aim to increase our prospect pool and hopefully get more competitive to attract more fans into the building.
